Casual Italian restaurant before the marathon

We will be running the Chicago Marathon and are looking for an Italian restaurant to dine at the night before the Marathon. We are staying at the Renaissance, and are hoping to find something close/convenient to our hotel. We have reservations at Cafe Spiaggia on Friday night, but wanted something more casual for Sat night. We tried to make reservations at the Italian Village, but they don't take reservations for a party of 2. Any suggestions?

Maggianos isn't far away and is definitely casual.

For casual Italian, I like Rosebud on Rush. The food is good (but not great) and the portions are very large. Wine list is acceptable. You would be comfortable there in anything other than shorts and a t-shirt.

I'll second Rosebud on Rush or suggest Carmine's which is also on Rush and affiliated with Rosebud.
