Wicker Park Bucktown w/teens

Staying in Oakbrook and taking the train into the Loop and N. Michigan for shopping. The hotel rates in the city are very expensive the weekend we are visiting Oct 3-5. Are there fun stores for 14 and 18 year old teens in Wickertown/Bucktown? They like stores like Urban Outfitters, Levi. I am very intrigued by these neighborhoods. Also is Comedysports or Olympic Improv worth cking out.

Oakbrook has a tremendous shopping mall, with a number of stores that also have locations on Michigan Avenue. Definitely start the dress search in Oakbrook.

In the city, my teenage son loves this place: www.threadless.com which is near Broadway and Diversey. You'll find a good assortment of places in that neighborhood, or give Wicker Park a try. You can do a shopping search on www.metromix.com

There are Urban Outfitters and Levi stores on Milwaukee Avenue in Wicker Park. Also, if you go up and down that section of Milwaukee (south of North Avenue, north of Wood), you will find a ton of funky clothing stores that they should like. Have them check out Ragstock for very inexpensive but cool stuff. A lot of the places in that stretch are used clothing or part used and part new, so depending on what they like you should be aware of that. Also in that same stretch, there is both Reckless Records and Earwax, which will satisfy their cool-record-store needs.

I live right there (around the corner from everything mentioned), so please post if you have any more specific questions.
