Winter Wonderfest /Dinner etc.

We go to Winter Wonderfest every year on a weekday before Chicago Public schools let out in order to avoid crowds. Any suggestions for a nearby economical, festive place to eat with three school aged kids? Doesnt necessarily have to be at Navy Pier, but of course we would prefer it! Any place to eat near Macy's (we can see windows too) besides the Walnut room...or would you recommend Walnut room for dinner?

There's a really good gourmet food court (Seven on State) on the 7th floor of Macy's near the Walnut Room, we ate there this weekend at Frontera Fresco. There's also Marc Burger and Noodles by Takashi Yagihashi, not sure what else as I always go to Frontera.
