Driving from Montreal to Chicago with kids

I am considering the trip to Chicago, driving from Montreal, with 2 kids - 9 and 12. I saw it's 15 hours drive so it won't be possible to do in one shot. What would be the nice places to stop on the way ? Thanks

Google shows the best route as staying in Canada and crossing at Sarnia/Port Huron. To break the trip up you'd probably want to stop somewhere between Toronto and Detroit. Having made that trip several times there's a lot of nothing between those two cities. If you haven't already I'd post this to the Toronto forum and the Michigan forum (If you post to Mich. you'll get a lot more good information than just posting Detroit)

London, Ontario is a nice stop.
