Fishing on the Lake - - Party Boat?

My husband likes to fish....the rest of us not so much. Is there a fishing party boat that goes out from a Chicago marina ("party" meaning it's not a private charter but rather a lot of people paying per person)?

I see references to people fishing from the Navy Pier. That would be another option but I would need a referal to somewhere that rents equipment.

Any ideas for that? Other ideas?

You won't find any rental companies downtown.

I like to fish and your question caught my eye. you having any luck with googling the topic? I see some nice hits with "fishing websites Chicago" or "fishing Charters Chicago". I may have to check some of these guys out some time myself! lol.

You may not get a single recommendation, but should get some answers if you check out some of the fishing related websites and forums.

The reason you are getting no hits is because no one in Chicago does this.

or Google Chicago Fishing charters. Unfortunately there don't seem to be any "party" fishing boats. We come to the Keys for that. At least down there you can eat the fish you catch.

its actually an interesting question, and possibly new subject material. the problem for tourists is keeping fish and transporting them. However, just a fun fishing trip, catch and release, might be something ppl would like to do. Charters are not cheap, and of course you have to get a Fishing license......... :) Neat to see something different on the forum, good question Keymom!

I'm signed up now on windycityfishing.com to see if they have any leads for me. People are catching fish off the riverwalk and local piers. I was hoping someone know of a party boat at one of the marinas since I don't want to arrange gear. Catch and release is fine.

Here's something that might help. It might be a little dated but it's another lead.
