Since we don't know you you need to give us some input. Use the " Things to Do" in the Chicago TA menu to start. The type your interests in the search engine.

We just got back from a 3 day visit to Chicago and had a wonderful time....so much to do and see....we opted to do a hop on hop off bus tour ($35 for 3 days) We rode the tour all the way through the first time just so we could get our bearings and see what things we wanted to go back to and see in more detail. A bonus of the bus tour is that we also learned a lot of interesting things about the city that we never would have known otherwise. We also took a neighborhood tour that took us through Little Italy, Chinatown and Greek Town-very interesting and informative! It took about 1 1/2 hours to ride through the whole tour and then we opted to go back to Millennium Park (had to see The Bean and amazing waterfalls that show faces of Chicagoans and "spits" at you !) Also had an outdoor restaurant at the park that looked pretty busy! We did not eat there as we had reservations elsewhere but it looked good. We also rode the free trolley to Navy Pier one evening and walked around. Of course we shopped on the Magnificent Mile to say we had done it but found that for real shopping you want to go to State St. (we were told that is where the locals shop). The Field Museum was also very interesting but be aware that you would need a whole day there (at least) to really see everything. We only had about 3 hours and just skimmed the surface. All that being said.... I would recommend doing the Hop on/off trolley bus tour so you can see what your options are and then decide what you want to go back and see in more depth. It worked well for us!

Half day at Navy pier - ride ferris wheel, great photo ops

A Chicago architectural foundation boat tour ( they also have walking tours)

Millenium park

A visit and views from either Willis ( formerly Sears) tower or the John Hancock observatory

The old Chicago water tower( survived the great fire) and shopping on Michigan Ave in the vicinity of Water tower

Art Institute- take at least 2-3 hours and see Grant Woods American Gothic, the impressionist gallery, the Chagall stained glass windows and the the miniature rooms ( think intricate dollhouses from different eras)

See a show Blue Man group , or comedy or theatre
