Lincoln Park area for an event-where to stay

Afternoon All-

Will be in Chicago in June for a product launch in the Lincoln park area-any suggestions on which area to stay in?

Many thanks

Possibilities include the Belden Stratford, Best Western Hawthorne Place, Hotel Indigo or Ambassador East. You could also easily stay downtown and commute up to the Lincoln Park area on the "L". It really depends on where exactly you need to be, what day/s you're planning on and what your budget is.

Thanks for the reply-

Will probably be a mid week stay-I will visit some other customers in other parts of the city as well, so I will probably have a rental. Maybe cab over to the event in Linclon park as beverages will be a plenty,

Budget probaly around the 250 max range-like the looks of the Burnham type properties..

Burnham and Monaco would certainly be good, as both are near Red Line "L" stops - you could take that up to Lincoln Park. Additional choices would include:

The Hotel Indigo, Sutton Place and Ambassador East (all near the Red Line subway at Clark/Division.

The Hilton Garden Inn, Embassy Suites Downtown, Courtyard Marriott Downtown, Amalfi or Hampton Inn (all close the Red Line stop at Grand/State, with the HGI being literally next to the stop.)

With the Westin River North and House of Blues, you could either walk North to the Grand/State stop, or South across the river to the Lake St. Red Line stop.

Near the Chicago Ave. stop would be the Omni Suites, Allerton, Westin Michigan Ave, Sofitel and Talbott.

There's plenty of other options, but those would be some that are within at least fairly close distance to a subway stop to take you up to Lincoln Park.

FYI-

Ended up changing my booking from the Hotel Indigo to the Amalfi as a great rate came up for last minute(leaving tomorrow am)

Seems to be alot more better dining in this immediate area-

Thanks for the input and cheers.
