The National Restaurant Association convention at McCormick Place starts on the 18th. 61000 attendees.

Stay out by the airport or a nearby suburb and commute downtown each day.

Hotwire should be an easy score for Rosemont - just outside of ORD. You can take the CTA blue line train downtown and be there in about an hour.

Are you only coming for the one night? As Dave states, the O'Hare area is probably your best option at this point.

Yes i am only staying the one night, i am a fan of the Chicago House music. Thought i could enjoy Saturday in the city.

Can you elaborate on this "Hotwire should be an easy score for Rosemont"

Just looking through some websites like expedia etc. shows limited availability even around O'hare. There is a Hilton right at the airport that is available for $199 you may want to consider that as the Blue line runs all night out to O'Hare, presuming that is where you are flying in and out of.

http://www.hotwire.com/ - shows availability in the ORD area below $100/night.

Also try www.hotels.com and search for properties in Rosemont, IL

Thanks Warriorjan for the feedback on the Hilton, might just have to take one.

So the blue line runs through the night - is it safe to use in the early hours of the morning?

Shouldn't have any issues on the Blue line, you can use the http://www.transitchicago.com site to track train arrival times.

Dave is much more the hotel expert than I ever hope to be, you just want to be sure you are walking distance to the Blue line or the hotel has a shuttle that operates when you plan to return. I just thought that staying at the airport itself might be something I myself might do in your circumstances.

Good luck and hope you have a great time.
