Trains from Edison Park to Chicago- Tow different lines ?

Are the two different. Train Lines from Edison Park to center city Chicago The schedule I found on line does not seem to have frequent trains in and out of the city. should I be looking for a different station from the Des Plaines-Park Ridge Area ?

Edison Park, Norwood Park and Park Ridge are all on the same Metra line - metrarail.com/content/…map.html

Another option would be Jefferson Park or Cumberland on the CTA blue line - http://www.transitchicago.com/blueline/

There are four or five stops on the UP-NW line that could work for the Park Ridge/ Des Plaines area. It depends on where you are staying, and if you need to park a car. The UP-NW, like all the suburban Metra trains, does not run many trains at off hours; they typically run one every hour during the slow part of the day, one every two hours on Saturdays and Sundays. Also note that the suburban Metra trains stop running just after midnight.

What are you trying to accomplish? The suburban commuter trains are Metra. The Chicago Transit ("L"/subway) trains are in the city and do not, with the exception of Evanston/Skokie, serve the suburbs.
