You have the option of dinner at Andy's, www.andysjazzclub.com, although there are better choices for food in the area. The jazz is good, though! It is conveniently located at State and Hubbard, just north of Trump Tower.

You will fantastic jazz at the Green Mill in the Uptown neighborhood. It is pretty far from the Loop (~$20 cab ride), it's in a sketchy neighborhood, and they don't serve food. But I bring my out of town guests here to hear jazz in this historic room and they never forget it. Just eat somewhere else.

As suggested, Green Mill is a classic jazz destination. While they don't serve food, there are some phenomenal (mostly asian) restaurants literally right down the street. For some of the best duck you will ever have, try the Peking duck at Sun Wah BBQ. The Peking duck is not actually listed on their menu for some reason, but that is what everyone goes for. The full duck meal with a side or two will more than fill up four people. They take reservations, and even though they serve alcohol, they are also BYOB. They often neglect to charge their $5 corkage fee, but even when they do charge it, it is well worth it to bring a great bottle of red to enjoy with your fatty and crispy skinned duck! Other popular local restaurants are Tank noodle (Vietnamese), Silver Seafood (Chinese), and Siam Noodle and Rice (Thai, and a little further away). Lao Sze Chuan, which has been a Chinatown staple for years, also just opened a location up this way. Green Mill is a little small and can get crowded, so maybe consider an early dinner before the jazz. It is also helpful to pay in cash at Green Mill. I would also dispute the fact that this part of uptown is a sketchy neighborhood. Especially if you are taking a cab.
