4th of july visit to Chicago

We are going for the 4th of July, should we rent a car?? We are going to stay at Hotel Chicago Downtown, Autograph Collection 33 N Dearborn St., Chicago I'm not sure how difficult is to park in there, Is the public transportation an Option? do they have underground??

Parking at the hotel is very easy. Unfortunately it is approximately $60 a night. Forget the car take public transportation. It is easier and much cheaper

Welcome to TA. Do NOT rent a car in the city. That hotel name still confuses me: it's the old Hotel Sax in Marina City. It is centrally located on the river with River North, The Loop and Michigan Ave a few blocks away.

If you want to rent a car budget the daily rental cost plus $60 per day hotel parking costs plus another $40 per day parking if you plan on using your car to get around.

No need for a car for you if you are going to stay downtown.
