Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Recommendations

Heading to Indy this weekend and are looking for breakfast, lunch & dinner restaurants in the area. We are looking for moderately priced food, hopefully not a chain. We are open to any type of food, just good food & service. Any suggestions would be helpful - our 1st time to Indy.

Don't know what part of town you'll be in, but here a few ideas:

Breakfast - Le Peep, several locations downtown and north

Breakfast/Lunch - Illinois St. Food Emporium, pastries and sandwiches, north of downtown

Lunch (or dinner) - Shapiro's Deli - Downtown, an Indy tradition

Dinner - Bazbeaux Pizza, gourmet pizza, several locations downtown and north

Iarias or Milano Inn - downtown, family style Italian

Cafe Patachou is a local restaurant that was featured in Gourmet Magazine. They're open for breakfast and lunch.

Also, recently there have been several posts about great local restaurants, so you'd probably get a lot out of reading those.

I hope you enjoy your time in Indy!

Also should mention there are a lot of non chain restaurants in the Broad Ripple Area, near 62nd and College. Plenty of different types of cuisine. It's a fun area, definitely worth a visit.
