Visiting for a wedding in Aug

We are visiting in Aug for a wedding. We are staying at the Marriott East. I would like to know a couple of good bars in the area to go to the night before(Friday) and a good place for dinner. Preferrable a bar we can dance at would be great. Thanks in advance...

Marriott East I believe is at 21st and Shadeland. If you go north on Shadelnd to about 71st St. the is T.D. Alibi's (More of a restaurant) Farther north is Castleton (86th Steet) Several places there. DaveinCarmel will probably see this post and review. He's a prety good expert northside. You might respond with your age group and food likes.

There are basically two options downtown for a wide variety of restaurants and bars to choose from. And Broad Ripple a few restaurants and lots of bars to choose from. Either way everything is within walking distance once you take a cab to either loacation. Check out indy.org for more information. Hope this helps.
