Parking near Lucas Oil Stadium

Son just moved to Fishers, and I will be visiting this weekend (Oct 3/4). Big Colts fan from Pa, and I got tix for him and I to game. First time visitor to Lucas Oil, so I would appreciate any suggestions as to where to park. Please help. thanks, Mike

Parking is very dependent time. If you get downtown early, you can easily find street parking (I'm familiar with the east side of downtown, and I know there's parking available on streets north of Washington - try Pennsylvania, Ohio, Vermont, Delaware.) It's a bit of a hike, but it's supposed to be a nice day. Plus you don't have to worry about traffic leaving the stadium (and the high parking fees within a four block radius.)

I recommend getting downtown early and heading to lunch/brunch at the many restaurants that are open. You shouldn't have problems finding street parking then.

Enjoy the game!

Thanks very much for the quick reply, it will be very helpful. If you know of any pre/post game places to get a bite, I would appreciate the recommendation. Again, thanks for the help.

coach, did you get my PM reply?

I went downtown for the first game and at The Plaza (Pan Am Plaza) they have the Bud Light Tailgate. Bud products are $1 and food is free. They serve stadium pretzels, hot dogs, nachos and all the fixings. Although I don't care for Bud products you can't beat the price. It is free to get in, all you have to do is show ID. I think they still do bloody mary stations at Olives (Omni). We didn't have tickets to the game so around 12:30 we started to wander and ended up at Jillians because we were able to get a spot at the bar in front of the big screen.

Can't beat free food and $1 beer... but if you want to go somewhere after the game, I recommend Scotty's Brewhouse on Penn and Washington. If you park on the east side of downtown, it'll be a walk on your way to your car. My husband and I went there before a game, and it was a great atmosphere. I'm sure it'd be the same after a game... especially after a Colts win!

Scotty's is now THE place to go. Harry and Izzy's (co-owned by Manning) is good too and in the mall.
