Indianapolis Children's museum

How far in advance should I get tickets? I am traveling with 5 adults and 2 kids. We would like to see the Terracotta Warriors and also see the Lilly theater. We are traveling from out of state so we need to do everytihing in one day. Any advice or tips? Thanks!

From the museum itself: "Tickets to the museum can be purchased online, but don't have to be. They can be purchased the day of the visit. They are timed tickets, but everyone is getting in. Lilly Theater tickets are free but are required to get into the performances. They can be obtained the day of the visit, too. Our suggestion is to obtain the tickets to any performances or exhibits as soon as they arrive. The Lilly Tickets are obtained on the lower level near the theater. The Terra Cotta Warrior tickets are purchased at the box-office."

So it sounds like you'd get in if you bought tickets the day of your visit at the museum (or online not far in advance), but you might have fewer choices of entry time to the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit and that could affect your day.
