I enjoyed just wandering around and looking at all of the shops. I did miss some of the local artists that I wanted to see because I wasn't intentional about it, so next time I am going to try to get a map that lists them.

Here's the Brown County Visitors Bureau website for some very useful information:

The Abe Martin Lodge Restaurant has gotten good reviews, but we haven't tried it yet. http://www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/inns/abe/

Just returned from 4 days with my daughter and her friends. For an amazing vacation, rent a cabin! I've done this 5 times now and it's SO SO much more fun than staying in a room. Ours had ping-pong table, pool table, hot tub, DVD player and it was beautiful to sit our on the huge deck playing games and having coffee!

There are a plethora of shops and galleries in the downtown Nashville area, but 2 days of that is adequate. Brown Bounty State park has horseback riding, swimming and hiking trails. You can drive 15 minutes to Bloomington 9Indiana University) and enjoy the cute town and many restaurants, or shop at outlet stores in nearby Columbus Indiana. There are several music theatres and performances. There are several wineries with free tasting, including the very good brown County winery and the very enjoyable Chateau Thomas winery where you can order snacks and listen to music on weekends.

I have rented cabins from Hills of Brown realty as well as Moondance Vacation homes. Both have excellent choices!

I agree...definitely try a cabin...we absolutely loved it. We used Hill O Brien and had a great experience. We enjoy wandering through the shops in Nashville. We always eat at the Nashville House...just because I love the cole slaw. :)
