Santa Claus, Lake Rudolf and Holidayworld

My 4 teens, husband and I had a great time at Lake Rudolf/Holidayworld on our Omaha/St.Louis/Santa Claus trip May 30th June 4th. We rented a king RV at Lake Rudolf. We also rented the golf carts which helped us all to get around the large campground. Lake Rudolf price was fair(not a bargain. The campground was nice and to our surprise the boys did not get bored. Holidayworld was very nice and we all loved the free sodas and sunblock!!! There was not a lot of rides for the teens but the rides they did have were awesome. More rides for the tweens and below. Water rides were equally divided for the young and older kids. On the way back we stopped at Grant's Farm (free!) in ST Louis, the arch, and Six Flags (ST Louis/Eureka area) They had more of the mature rides but the park closed early due to low attendance which was very disappointing. Not much lodging choices if you want to stay close to Holidayworld, but we were satisfied with our choice of Lake Rudolf. They have free shuttle service to Holidayworld. What I did not like was the campground's eatery and campstore closed at 8pm and we were hungary at 8:05 with no close choices.

We love Holiday World too. What it doesn't have in big fancy rides it more than makes up for in its cleanliness, free soda and much shorter lines. We prefer the water park there vs Kings Island, Cedar Point and Ky Kingdom---can't be beat in our opinion.

Good to know about the camping. We have only stayed at the Lincoln State Park nearby which is nice too.

Glad you had fun!!
