Hi Madhurkjain,

I suggest it is better to stay at Kalpetta. Sulthan Bathery & Mananthavady are easily accessible from here.

Cheers,

Arun

Thanks for your inputs. One more question. We plan to travel from Mangalore and cover Bekal Fort and Wayanad. How to plan the journey? Should we travel to Bekal and then onwards to Wayanad or should we return to Mangalore and then go to Wayanad

Hi Madhurkjain,

You may plan like this: http://goo.gl/maps/ZCg83

First travel from Mangalore to Bekal.

Then go to Kannur & from there, to Mananthavady.

Plan your return trip like this:

Go from Mananthavady to Calicut & from there, to Mangalore.

During this trip, you can enjoy Thamarassery Ghat Pass too.

Cheers,

Arun

Wayanadu is good enough for three days and Kalpettah is well connected to the sightseeing places but it is around 20km away from Wayanad.
