Supermarket open tonight after 9?

Hi

We're leaving uk today and our flight is scheduled to arrive at 20.35 at faro.

It's only just dawned on me that by the time we get to Lagos everything might be closed.

Can anyone tell me if there's a supermarket near the airport that might be open so late on a Sunday or if there'd be somewhere to eat still open in Lagos we'll have a teen and a preschooler who will no doubt be starving!

My reckonings assuming no delays , quickish pick up of hold luggage and smooth car hire pick up we should be out of the airport and on our way by about 9.30 in Lagos hopefully by 10.30

All advice gratefully received.

Thanks

The Jumbo hypermarket at the Forum Algarve near Faro is open until 10pm on Sundays. You might just make it.

To get there, when you get to the end of the road out of the airport turn towards Faro, ie east, and it is about a mile down the road on your left past the usual dreary collection of motor dealers and Staples etc. Go around the roundabout to the underground parking area.

Otherwise you are right, even here on a Sunday the supermarkets close between 8pm and 9pm.

Don't worry, in Lagos they will be open again at 0830 in the morning!

By time you get to Lagos (especially if you go shopping) many restaurants etc will be thinking of closing up but McDonalds is open until the early hours. You will spot it easily on the way in.
