which hotel do you recommend?

My husband, toddler, and I will be in the Shreveport area during the Christmas holidays and need a hotel that offers suites--a bedroom and living room separated by a door. I've booked a room with the Residence Inn in Shreveport (near airport) but am now thinking of going with a king suite at the Hampton Inn--Shreveport/Airport. I can get either place for the same price. We'll get free breakfast at both places as well.

Any thoughts on which hotel might be a bit newer, nicer, cleaner, safer, etc.? I'm assuming that they are near one another since both have "airport" in their names. We tried to get the Residence Inn in Bossier but it's full on our dates. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Sorry, I only know about the hotels at the casinos. I hope someone will answer this for you.

Did you look at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites Airport? From the hotel site picture, it look as though there is a door between the living area and the sleep area.

Thanks, nanaju! I have not looked at the LaQuinta but will check it out too. I actually went ahead and changed my reservation to the Hampton Inn. I called and was told the king suites have doors between the two rooms--just what I wanted. I first booked at the Residence Inn but it looks like they will be under renovation construction through January, so I think it might be better to not stay there. Thanks again!
