Boothbay next week with a 2 year old

My husband and I are coming up to Boothbay Harbor (staying in East Boothbay) for 6 days next week. We are mostly looking forward to relaxing and enjoying nature but I would love any suggestions on must see sites or activities for us and and our 2 year old. And good eats are always important, too! ;)

Many thanks!!

The botanical gardens are very nice, and there is a section built specially for kids.

Good basic seafood can be had many places...Lobster Dock, Lobsterman Co-op, etc.

For a nice way to spend a few hours out on the water plus get fed a complete lobsterbake try Cabbage Island Clambake trip.

Thanks so much! We will definitely check out botanical gardens and those seafood suggestions. Cabbage Island does look so fun. You think appropriate for a 2 year old. Also, it ends up being over $100. Is it that good that it's worth it?

Re: Cabbage Island...we did it as a corporate outing last year and had a blast. For me it's not just the food but the opportunity to spend time out on the water. If you look at it as *just* a meal then probably not good value.
