We just left Boothbay Harbor, where we stayed for a night on a several day trip through coastal Maine. We absolutely loved our stay at Linekin Bay B&B--just a perfect place where the hosts could not have been more friendly and accommodating and the rooms were supremely comfortable. Had delicious meals at Boat House Bistro ( a ton of appealing tapas options on the menu) and McSeagulls. And we enjoyed a relaxing sail on the Schooner Eastwind.
The only thing that slightly marred our experience in the town was at a souvenir store called "The Hutch", which tried to cheat my (highly responsible) 12-year old daughter out of several dollars change. No question that was what was going on from the facts of the situation, and when it was obvious that my daughter had noticed, the store owner pulled put a few more dollars and gave them to her. Shame on you, Hutch owner, for trying to cheat a kid!
