Driving from Melbourne to Adelaide

Hi Everyone

My husband and I are planning on driving from Melbourne to Adelaide next March and we have 3 days spare up our sleeve to have a few nights stop in a few places.

My husband has already driven around the great ocean road a few years ago so we were thinking of going inland via the Murray river way and stopping 3 nights along the way.

Can anyone suggest some nice places to stop and stay for our 3 nights?

We have booked a night in the Barossa Valley in a Resort after the 3 spare nights also.

Thanks and Look forward to hearing some ideas.

Sarah

The Grampians are wonderful - spend a night there if you can fit it into your plans.

Departing from The Grampians, travel south to Hamilton, then Coleraine and Casterton through scenic undulating grazing country.

Continue to Naracoorte, Robe and along the Coorong to Tailem Bend then Adelaide
