Kennebunkport Weather Late September

My fiance and I are getting married on September 26th on the beach in Kennebunkport. Any thoughts about how to pack? We have only been there in the summer when shorts and sundresses are appropriate.

Are jeans and sweaters too casual? Do you think we need to bring winter coats or just rain coats? Your advice is very much appreciated.

Absent a really unusual cold spell, you shouldn't need winter coats, but you will want to bring things appropriate for fall weather. Yahoo weather has the average high/low temps for Kennebunkport on Sept. 26 as 65/43.

I wouldn't think that jeans and sweaters would be too casual for spending time in Kennebunkport, though a few individual restaurants might be a bit more formal.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Kennebunkport in late September can be beautiful. Jeans and sweaters are fine for most activities. You might want to bring a business casual option, perhaps a sportscoat for your fiance. Fleece jackets should be plenty warm enough when you are outside. Sometimes a fall storm will bring a lot of wind and rain, so yes, bring raincoats as well. And because it's Maine, we've also seen late summer weather with temps in the high 70's that time of year. Keep an eye on the local forecast starting about 10 days out and plan accordingly.
