October is leaf viewing season. Depending on when you go, there is a chance that it could be somewhat crowded. We were in Ogunquit Nov. 6 to 10, and the leaves were still fairly nice, but that is unusual. It wasn't crowded then, but if I were you, I would book in advance.
Leaf viewing done by " leaf peepers" affects all of New England and beautiful as Vermont is, the other New England states are just as busy and beautiful. You should make reservations in advance especially for the weekends. During the week it will be a little less hectic, but rooms can still be scarce. If you have your heart set on a particular area or place, you should book as soon as you have your schedule set. All of New England is beautiful in the fall.
Tks. newenglandweaver, I'll book when I have my plans set.
Tks. tcantarelli for you generous offer. I'll keep in touch. Obrigado e um abracao.
