Black Boar, White Rose, or Distant Sands

Hi there,

I'm looking to spend a quiet, gay-friendly romantic weekend in Ogunquit; a place where it's less family-oriented would be suitable. I've narrowed it down to three places: White Rose, Black Boar (near Village) and Distant Sands (near Footbridge).

Any tips or advice? We want to be close to everything so that we don't hav to worry about driving anywhere.

Thanks in advance!

Since you are looking for "a quiet, gay-friendly romantic weekend..." scratch the White Rose off your list right away. Not the place you're looking for. The Black Boar, Moon Over Maine, or The Dolphin Den would be what you want. Distant Sands is nice, but it's location is just a little too "distant" from the heart of the village. Too far to walk, and you definitely do NOT want to drive in Ogunquit if you have consumed ANY amount of alcohol.

The Black Boar, Moon Over Maine and Dolphin Den are all gay-owned and all are within an easy walk of the beach, Marginal Way and all restaurants/bars/clubs in the village.

Each of these B&Bs has its own website. Not sure when you're planning to visit Ogunquit, but if you can come in September, families with children are back to work and school, and rates are lower everwhere after the Labor Day holiday.
