For the 1st visit, how many nights?

We are hoping to visit Ogunquit this summer and are wondering how many nights would make sense. Considering either a 3 or 4 night stretch. Is that enough to get a taste of Ogunquit? Would anyone think that it's too long? Unfortunately that is all the time we can get away from work in a row in July. Ogunquit is only about 90 minutes from where we live so we won't lose too much time traveling but will feel like we are getting "away." I know I want some time on the beach, a show at the Ogunquit playhouse & some time to walk around the shops, hike, have some nice dinners. Feedback appreciated.

1. Re: For the 1st visit, how many nights?

Any kids? That might influence the decision. If you want a relaxing leisurely vacation to include a play, beach, shopping, dining. You can certainly "hike " the beach. Ogunquit/Moody Beach is 6 miles round trip and add 1.25 miles each way on Marginal Way..a good hike! Keep in mind that the Moody beach end is all privately owned and technically (by law) walking on that stretch of the beach is prohibited unless you are below the low tide mark. That said, I have never been stopped walking that section of the beach.

If I was getting away to Ogunquit, 3 or 4 nights would be perfect.
