Beachmere, Achorage or someplace else?

My husband and I will be spending a few nights in Ogunquit next month and we are looking for a nice place to stay. Based on TA reviews I was thinking Beachmere or Anchorage by the Sea. Proximity to town and the beach is important and we prefer not to stay in a bed and breakfast. Also looking for a place that is great for couples (we are leaving our little one with her grandparents). Look forward to hearing your feedback!!!

You can't go wrong with the Beachmere --- perfect location and best for couples. You will not regret it. Anchorage is much more family oriented due to the pool. Beachmere is quieter and much more beautiful. It is also directly across from the steps to the little cove beaches --- we always spend the majority of our beach time here rather than at the larger beach down the way. Good luck getting a reservation for August!

Beachmere sounds perfect for you. The Anchorage is also very nice and quiet as well, but, as noted, more family oriented than the Beachmere. Nice getaway. Enjoy!

Beachmere & Anchorage are one of the best places to stay in Ogunquit. But you should be aware that they are on a Cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There are some tiny coves along the cliff walk that provides access to the beach, but the actual sandy Ogunquit Beach is at least a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

My sister has stayed at Terrace by the Sea and loved it. It is a short walk to the beach (closer than the other two) and they include a wonderful breakfast on the porch.

Has anyone stayed at the colonial inn in the east wing rooms? The main building was booked. Staying for the weekend in October. Any info on this inn or the east wing rooms would be appreciated!
