Is the sea warm enough for swim mid-September?

Visiting the area from 12th September for week's sailing. Would like to swim either off the boat or from the shore if the water is warm enough. Otherwise won't bother packing swim towels - baggage allowance on international flight.

The good news is that the temperature won't be much off its peak in mid-September. The bad news is that still means it will only be around 60F degrees, give or take about 5 degrees.

Ocean will be pretty darn cold, Good for a quick bracing dip on a very hot day if you are brave- but doubt you'll feel much like swimming.

The ocean is cold here in July. I would bring a wet suit if you plan on getting wet.
