Sept-Oct - everything open and/or bars and nightlife

Looking to possibly do a Thursday - Sunday trip either Sept 29 or Oct 12. Looking for things open on boardwalk and bars. We went years ago and a lot of things were closed. Looking for a mild weekend and saw H2Oi is ini town for the 29th and heard that is a rowdy weekend wich we are not looking for. So if we go Oct 12, is Corvette weekend crazy?

H2O weekend was a noisy, rowdy mess when I mistakingly booked a visit during this event.

Corvette weekend much less of a problem. I enjoyed the parade of Corvettes down the Boardwalk.

Plenty of places still open to eat and drink.

H2O weekend is a younger crowd, tends to be rowdy

Corvette weekend is generally an older crowd, usually pretty low key

H20i has been officially cancelled for this year (last weekend in September) but there have been a lot of awful comments on social media sites from boys who are disappointed who have said they are going to go and "tear Ocean City up!" Even though Ocean City has NOTHING to do with the event. It was cancelled by the show promoters because the venue was sold early this year, or late last winter. But that's also Wine on the Beach weekend at the inlet and that's a very nice event. http://www.winefest.com/ Live music, wine samples and bottles to buy, and good food.

We go every year for Corvette weekend. Hotel rates are really low, and there is very little bad behavior. It's mostly one or two guys with new Corvettes who will do a burnout or two, but that's pretty much it. It's a Saturday only event, at the inlet, and a parade up the boardwalk starting at 4 on Saturday. Very nice weekend to enjoy. Buffets are still open, Seacrets and many bars are open, shops and the arcades are open on the boards, and you'll even find Thrasher's and Fisher's open (weekends) Of the two , obviously, we'll be at Corvette weekend again, but aside from the pain in the rear tuner crowd in September, you can't go wrong with either choice.
