Lots of pooling on Coastal Hwy at the lower end. Surf was up to the seawall at 16th St, with some wash over onto the boardwalk. Must have been hell farther down. Tried to go to Captains Galley II for dinner and the tide was up to the dock level. The place was closed due to the weather.

Yesterday was really windy and stormy here in Easton, things look better today, the rain has stopped and the wind has died down. :)

Ventured out today to witness some of the storm damage first hand...and all I've got to say is...UNBELIEVEABLE!

The beaches in most areas of Ocean City all the way up to Rehobeth are devastated...half the dune is gone and when I say gone, I mean it is a shear 8 foot drop at the top of the dune to the "beach" below. You literally need a ladder to access the beach. If you want to call it a beach. The water still needs to recede to normal levels, but as of now there is only 30 to 40 feet of beach to the water line. SO MUCH sand has been lost...it'sdepressing. I don't see how these beaches will recover by tourist time next summer. Beach replenishment is planned years in advance.

Here's a link to youtube video sort of showing what I'm talking about. The area of 47th St. where I viewed the devestation had 1/2 the dune missing. This video is from 130 St. The dune fared well here, but the beach is gone.
