We go to OC every year for July 4th. If you have never been there, there is no real way to describe the insanity that is 4th of July crowds. The entire town will be packed wall to wall with people.

Fireworks are set off at Division Street in Downtown Ocean City, and also at Northside Park around 124th street in North Ocean City. Anywhere on the beach from 1st street to around 9th street will give a good view of the Fireworks. I have never been to the Fireworks in North OC, so can't comment on them.

Most hotels have a 3 night minimum during Holiday weekends, be sure to check.

We live in OC. It is very crowded the week of the 4th. As far as the fireworks they are great in both locations. But both locations are also very crowded. Parking is very difficult so take the bus, but even then the wait to get one may also be lengthy. Or be prepared to walk the distance. if you plan to watch fireworks ont he beach -bring your blanket, dig a ditch lay your blanket in the ditch and then put rear in it so you are laying back. Sit bakc and enjoy the show. If you go to Northside Park bring your chair and find a grassy spot to sit and enjoy.

Seacrets will also do fireworks on Monday night, for those of you in midtown. Their show is just as good as the towns.

Very very crowded down on the boardwalk for the fireworks. If you are coming down to see the fireworks you have to get into town early. On the boardwalk you are shoulder to shoulder.

Very crowded - when we go we usually watch from Northside Park and then plan to hang out for an hour or so before we even think about getting back to where we stay.
