Have you tried Google Maps?

I am assuming Rt 1 to 113 to Rt 90 would be the quickest. And at that hour, you'll be OK traffic wise.

From Philly, about 3 hrs.

As Mirage52 says, take Rt. 1 South to Milford and exit right onto 113, travel down to either: turn off at 589/Ocean Pines to Rt. 90 East, or continue on 113 to the Rt 90E exit, you'll be entering OC at 62nd St., turn right for 45th St., stay on your right.

Traffic starts backing up on Saturday about 10 a.m. +/-

Have a wonderful visit here.

Thank you Mirage and OC Pony...the directions do say 95 to rte 1 and then 90, sounds pretty easy. Thinking if we leave at 6:30-7am, we should be fine to get there by 9:30-10am an beat traffic. :)

You're welcome lynnie0429 -- we're in 'peak' season right now AND there's a Nat'l Dew Tour (skateboarding/BMX/surfing) here for the weekend. They're set up on the beach between the pier and N. Division (South OC), but alot of people stay in condo's in North OC.

Rt. 90 is one lane in (east), one out (west), and can get pretty backed up with Saturday check-ins. A week or so ago, there was an accident - both lanes closed for several hours.

I'd stick with your original plan, try and leave closer to 6 a.m. to be on the safe side.

Hi Lynnie,

We are doiing the same thing Sat morning. Leaving from Delaware County just south of Philly. Last year we were on 95 at 7:15. Arrived at OC. Went to Mc D's for a quick breakfast and bathroom break and hit the beach by 10:30 until we could get the keys to our place.

As far as directions go, the above posters are correct. Make sure you pick up 113 in Milford. Don't stay on Rt1 the whole way.

We are beachfront at 43rd. See you on the beach!

During the season we actually go Rt 1 past the 113 split about 5 miles and jump on Rt 30 to Millsboro then onto rt 113. You miss Milford and Georgetown that way. Rt 30 is always wide open. This only saves time if there is alot of traffic.

Also if you hear Rt 90 is backed up turn left on Bishopville Road after crossing into MD. Take it 2 miles and turn rt on St Martin's Neck Road. This will go by Lighthouse Sound and dump you on Rt 90 just outside the first bridge so you miss most of the traffic backup.

Just a couple tips in case traffic backs up.
