Condo - Bayside or Oceanside?

I'm looking to rent a condo with my extended family and it seems that most of them we're coming across are on the Bayside. We would like a pool and don't really want to have to cross Coastal Highway as we'll have two babies with us. Any suggestions? Thanks!

There are TONS of oceanside/oceanblock/or oceanfront condos available.

Coldwell Banker www.cbvacations.com

Long and Foster www.lfvacations.com

Shoreline www.shorepro.com

OC Vacations www.ocvacations.com

And you can always check Craigs List.

Plus the Carousel Hotel, The Princess Royale, and The Clarion Fontainbleau Hotel all have condos, just to name a few.

We would like to keep it under $3000 for the week. 8 adults are going.

there are many townhouse type places on the bayside. finding a condo for 10 will be difficult but not impossible. never rented that big so can't say if the price point is reasonable. timing is everything.

We went to OBX last summer and were able to rent a large home for 9 adults at that price point. 1 block to beach with no roads to cross. Just a suggestion.

You might consider renting two, 2 bedroom condos in the same building; would give the couples a little more privacy while being able to spend time together during the day. Might be able to rent two smaller ones for the same or even less than one big unit. Momoo has listed some of the popular rental sites; would take a look at thier listings to see what you like.

4 Bedrooms at The Gateway Grand would give you everything you want and then some, but you will be paying 4-5 grand during the summer.

Castle in the Sand has some "cottages" for large families. Oceanside and has a pool.

Check out Castle in the Sand. My family has a place in OC, but sometimes if I go down for a girls weekend or some other special occasion and there are too many people for their place we'll rent condos, cottages or townhouses from Castle. They have many different accommodations to offer. Plus they have a nice pool and a fun outdoor bar & restaurant. Also, if you use the beach directly in front of their property they have waitresses who come down on the beach to serve food & drinks! It's all very convenient. Having babies and being at the beach, I wouldn't want to keep having to cross costal highway for everything.

Princess Royale Oceanside. Perfect for the whole family. Clean, friendly and has an indoor pool. Go to their website for pics.
