We mostly go to Gloucester for the beach and the seafood at Captain Carlo's..but we almost always spend some time at the Fisherman's memorial. Anyone who is a visitor to Gloucester should spend some time here. Very sobering. I've been to Hammond Castle more times than I can count..but not in several years. I actually prefer the Beauport Sleeper House.

The little shops, art galleries and restaurants on Rocky Neck are very nice to visit.

Depends on who you are and what you like and when you come!

There is always something going on in the summer, Main St block partys are the third Saturday of the month, July-Sept. Sidewalk Bazaar is Aug 1-3. Waterfront Festival is early September. Fish Box Derby, Farmers Market, Harbor Loop Concerts...

Beaches, of course, depending on what you like in a beach we have it all, big and small!

Restaurants, WHATEVER you like it's here. Local seafood, the best Mexican, sushi..... cheap or expensive, formal or casual. Something for everyone!

Stage Fort Park - has everything you need for a fun day. Excellent restaurant, beaches, playground, basketball court, baseball field, grills available.... some days/nights you can even catch local musicians entertaining.

Trolley

Water shuttle

Whale watches

Fishing trips

It's a great place to be!
