Which is the best way to travel from Providence to New York City please? Is the train ok?

I am assuming you mean Providence Rhode Island as this was posted in the MV/Oak Bluffs forum? If you mean Provincetown which is at the tip of Cape Cod, you'd have to search here about busses that would take you to NYC via either Providence Rhode Island or Boston. If you do mean Providence Rhode Island, yes, there is an Amtrak train that runs from Prov to NYC. There are also either Bonanza or Peter Pan busses that go from Prov to NYC. I've never taken them but have done the train route which was very relaxing and comfortable
