plymouth in 2-3 hours

We are staying in Falmouth and have one day left before returning home. Have seen most sites on the Cape and plan to go into Plymouth for a few hours. Any suggestions on sites to see, pubs to have lunch. quaint shops? All suggestions appreciated.

The big sights to see are (1) the Pilgrim things along the main streets downtown (including the Pilgrim Hall Museum, and various memorials along the waterfront, all very interesting), and (2) the attractions connected with Plimouth Plantation. Plimouth Plantation is fantastic, but you should allow AT LEAST 2 hours to see it. I do hope you will go there. it is great and it is in a beautiful spot. They also have the "Mayflower II", a replica of the Mayflower ship.

For a  two - three hour visit you can a tour the Mayflower II, see Plymouth Rock (this takes less than one minute) and a walk around Burial Hill (recommended).

Pubs to have lunch: Sam Diego's and Cabby Shack are very popular. East Bay is right near the Mayflower, but is a restaurant with a bar, not a pub.

Yes, don't miss the Mayflower, then lunch. You'll probably be surprised when you see Plymouth Rock...lol
