The cape in October.

My husband and I are visiting cape cod for the first time at the end of October. What activities are recommended during fall? We'd love to visit a cranberry bog or a small brewery if there is one within driving distance.

There's Cape Cod Beer in Hyannis. They're great. My husband and I have been twice. You can taste for free and they give tours once a day, I think at 11am. http://www.capecodbeer.com. Here's a website about cranberry bogs: http://www.cranberries.org/visit/. Last time I went on a tour of a bog was elementary school so I can't really recommend one in particular.

The cranberries will all be harvested by the end of October, if that makes any difference.

You should go to the Cranberry Festival the weekend of October 12. It is in Wareham, so you will have to leave the Cape, but only a few minutes from the bridge. You will get a great opportunity to see the bogs.
