Bars after Hockey Game

Coming into Detroit for the Detroit vs. Dallas hockey game. Any recommendation for a decent bar after the game? Maybe sports bar-ish, not a club. We will be staying at the Renaissance Centre. Also, what about a place to eat before the game? Thanks.

For a place to eat I'd say Fishbones.

For a bar after the game I'd suggest Hockeytown or Cheli's.

I agree with the above post--though I have never beeen to Cheli's, but Hockeytown is good. It isn't really overprice either.

You can eat at Hockeytown, but I would recommend eating in Greektown---at least one of the nights that you are in town. The "flaming cheese" is outstanding. Everyone will have their favorite place to eat in Greektown (you can take the people mover from the Ren Cen), our favorite is Hellas. They also have a casino right in Greektown that might be worth visiting. There is also a fantastic bakery in Greektown that you should check out (Astoria).

You can actually take the people mover from Ren Cen to Joe Louis, than to Greektown. Each ride is 50 cents. Hope you have a great time! GO RED WINGS!!!

I would suggest Pegasus (if you like Greek food) or Loco Bar (mexican food ) before the game, it's in the Greektown area and there is plenty to do there.

As far as bars go I would say Chelli's, Hockeytown, the Post or Detroit Beer Co.
