Can anyone recommend any good breakfast places near the Ren. Center? Looking for pancakes, eggs etc

Thanks in advance.

What about the Detroit Breakfast House? It's pretty close to the Ren Center. I have been there twice and both times the service has been good and my meal has been above average.

Also, there is Sweet Lorraines, I have never ate there for breakfast so I can't comment on it. I have had drinks and appitizers there and that wasn't too bad.

I was also going to suggest Sweet Lorraine's. I haven't been to the one in Detroit, but the one in Southfield has a great breakfast menu so I assume the one in Detroit would be good as well.

We ate breakfast at Sweet Lorraine's when we were in Detroit for the jazz festival. Nothing remarkable about the food as I recall and service was slow, but with its proximity to the Ren Cen, we're likely to go there again when we come for the 2008 DJF.

There is always the two (in)famous Coneys - American and Lafayette on Lafayette.

The Clique on Jefferson - not really walking distance.

Also not walking distance are places around Eastern Market, like Butchers Inn and Louie's Ham and Corned Beef.

Another choice is Gateway Deli at 333 Fort.

I agree with AddieBee. The Coney islands have the best breakfast.

There is also an IHOP less than a mile east on Jefferson.
