I wouldn't walk from Motor City to Comerica Park, but I also wouldn't go through the hassle of driving / parking when I'm so close. My advice is to take a cab to the more central downtown area from Motor City for dinner before the game, then walk to Comerica Park from there. The walk from the Greektown area to Comerica Park is very safe and very short. What you're going to spend on parking you can just spend on a cab to Greektown and not have to deal with the hassle. Sure, you can park your car in the Greektown structure, however, on game / event days they typically charge $20 for parking if you're not a Club Greektown member.

I agee on gobluegirl's revised itinerary suggesstions. After a visit to the Motown Musuem on day one, you could always stop at the Detroit Institute of Arts that afternoon, or head to the RiverWalk along the Detroit River (if the weather permits).

Gobluegirl's restaurant suggestions are great as well. As she says, Slow's while good, can be quite busy and not worth the hour wait (sometimes longer on game days). As an alternative, Red Smoke BBQ in Greektown is just as good and doesn't seem to get as busy as Slow's. Other options in Greektown would be Pizza Papalis and Santorini (Greek). My favorite restaurant downtown is Vicente (Cuban) and is a very close walk to Comerica Park.

Dearborn is the largest Arabic population in the US, and any restaurant with "shish" or "pita" in its name will be great.

If it's raining, do THF museum. Otherwise the Village. Depending on your interests, you can get both in...if you're a fan of shiny paint jobs on original artifacts, your visit will take longer.
