Things to do this week.

Coming up for three nights (12/27 - 12/30.) We've visited before, so we're familiar with the wineries, restaurants, etc. Wondering if there are any events or places to visit, maybe holiday-related, or just winter-only (snowmobiling, etc.) around the general area. Thanks!

not much to add to the above but you might think of coming back during the ice breaker fest first w/e of Feb....ice sculptures to view....free chili cookoffs most of the restaurants participate in (free lunch!!) , ice skating shows & deals, and a festive atmosphere!!

socrog - We skated at the rink downtown and also went snowshoeing at Saugatuck Dunes State Park.

Skating was very good - $14 for two including skate rental, and you could skate all day if you wanted. Good ice surface - refrigerated and they have a mini-Zamboni.

We rented snowshoes at Landsharks in downtown Saugatuck (they also rent xcountry skis) and got a map of places to go from them. $38 for two pair for all day. The scenery at the park was excellent and we got a pretty good workout on some of the steeper trails.

On the way back we stopped at Saugatuck Brewing Co. (http://sbrewing.com/), our second time there. Excellent beer, better than average pub food, comfortable atmosphere.

Thanks for the tips!!

glad you had a great time. My wife went snowshoeing (is that a word?) last weekend in Saugatuck and loved it.
