Golf in South Haven

Hello, we are vacationing in South Haven in a few weeks. We would like to find some nice, reasonably priced public courses. Can anyone suggest any? Thanks

Right up my alley.

South Haven Country Club: Low cost, should still be ok with the rain we've had. Clay underneath so it drys out, as summer comes on.

Hawkshead: Not much better around, designed by Arthur Hills (saw him there Tuesday) Weekdays and twighlight will be less expensive, top price I'm guessing $60 70 for 18 and a cart.

Lake Michigan Hills : Not sure of the price but won't break your budget, used as a qualifing course for the Western Am.

The Ravines : Saugatuck very nice course, IMO over priced, play Hawkshead instead.

Clearbrook : Saugatuck play it . Front nine is very old and short, seems like every hole cross's the brook. Back nine longer, not as pretty. Over all a good value. and you'll love the restaurant.

The sleeper is Cheshire Hills about a 15 minute (maybe 20) drive east . 27 holes, very nice, not high priced check this one out.

Have fun

Rono, thanks for all the good information. If you are ever near Jackson check out our courses. We have great golf and very reasonable prices.
