advice on what to do - weekend of 13th

I will be visiting Minn. this weekend. Any ideas on what to do? I have already been to the Walker, MOA, Frederick Weisman. We are going to a baseketball game at Target on Saturday. Any suggestions on where to eat near theTarget?

Thanks!

If you're going to the Wolves game, the Loon is a good spot. Nice bit of character in there.

It's a block from Target Center on 1st Ave. North. Right on the strip.

On the other side of Target Center is O'Donovan's. Nice beer selection there and good Irish-type food.

Also close is Ike's, a little nicer but very classy with outstanding food. It's about 1.5 blocks on 6th Street. You have to try the Weekender Bloody Mary. And if you can have brunch there at any time, you should. Fantastic. It's at about 6th Street and Hennepin Avenue, near Murray's steak restaurant.

MInneapolis, thanks for asking -It was a fun trip. We ate dinner at Redstones on one night and breakfast at Hell's Kitchen one morning. Before the basketball game we ended up eating at Hard Rock Cafe. We had never been to one before and the location couldn't be beat. We did go to Ikea which was fun. And we drove around the lakes - Minnetonka and the one next to it. I promised my fiancee that I would walk them on the next visit since it was too cold - But I just booked a trip for March 2-6 so I am going to freeze walking around!! I don't know what we'll do this trip. Any suggestions?

I think you might have your lakes messed up. Walking around Lake Minnetonka would take weeks. I don't even think there is a path.

Maybe you mean Harriet or Calhoun?

I think it was Lake Calhoun. Very nice lake with a walkway and beautiful houses surrounding it.

I am going again next week. This visit we will be going to Redstone to eat (our favorite so far) on Fri. night. On Saturday we are going to Treasure Island casino for the brunch and a very little gambling. And at night we are going to Chanhassen Dinner theatre to see Mid-Life Crisis. Sunday we are going to MIA - my fiancee really wants to see an exhibit there - San Francisco Psychedelic Tours and posters. Any suggestions on a lunch place near the institue of art? Monday I will be on my own as he will be working. Then it's back to RI.

Thanks for the advice!

you are near the famous "Eat Street" Nicollet Avenue just south of downtown.

One of my favourates is Azia.

There's also a tribute concert to Janis Joplin going on in St. Paul if you're both into it.

I would second Azia and Nicollet Ave. in general. If you can't find something you like on Nicollet Ave then you just aren't hungry.

Thanks again for all of the advice. What day is the Janis Joplin tribute in St. Paul?

One more thing, what is the average tip at the CHanhassen Dinner Theatre? I know it depends if we get any extras, but let's say we don't, how much should we tip?
