For those that have been waiting, I sincerly apologize. Work has been very busy, requiring me to be from home several days, then when I returned, have to make up for lost time with my love and Grand Daughter. But here it is :)
I left off at our first morning at the IP, breakfast at the buffet, and some small winnings. I don't remember if I mentioned it, but most of the casino's had sent us both some free-play so we were determined to us it all. Over to Boomtown to play for a little while.
I remember Boomtown all to well from it's days prior to Katrina: Smokie, noisy, and well just not my cup of tea, but amazingly things have changed for the better. New Carpet throughout, machines placed with groupings of similar denominations. I ponied up to a reel type Hot, Hot Penny, inserted my players card, retrieved my free play and away we go. Small wins and always two bonus symbles but no bonus, and almost ready to pull out for another machine, I decided to play a few more spins. Drink service being very good and a fresh Heiniken on the way. This spin revealed four bonus symbles, so a bonus round of 15 free spins was garenteed at three times. Bonus paid just under $300 on a .30 cent bet, and even better is I put no cash in the machine.I cashed out and off to find Debbie who was playing a Lucky Lemmings. She to was up about $30.00. Cash in hand, off to Treasure Bay to collect my chips and play our free play.
Treasure Bay has come a long way, and with the second floor now open and table games, she is all be it slowly, rejoing the family of casino's on the Gulf Coast.
We played for about three hours, I lost about $50.00 and Debbie was up about the same. Drink service was great, and a return was sure this trip.
Off to the Isle View were Debbie had $50.00 in free play and I wanted my Emeril chip. This place is always packed and due to the holiday weekend, it was more so. We found a bank (Carosel) of reel type Hot, Hot, Penny slots with one open chair, I let Debbie get it while I waited for a free machine. Debbie went down quickly about $20.00 on her free play and the machine next to her came open. I sat down, put in my players card and a twenty, played three coins and hit four bonus symbles first spin. That's $12.00 bucks and 15 free spins :) First spin on the bonus hit three bonus's and four doubles, another $20.00 and 8 more free spins:) When all was said and done, I cashed out with $150.00 plus my starting twenty:)
A Note: Drink service can be very slow due to the number of players to servers. This bank of machines is on the border of two servers so we always had at least one drink, but most of the time two in hand.
I guess we played there for about three or four hours and were both ready for a change. We called my Mother to let her know we were on the way to pick her up.
Got Mom and headed over to Ilse of Capri. The first floor is now non-smoking but not well posted. I was playing a Video Hot, Hot Penny, Gem Hunter Theme, when a security person came to me and asked me to put out my smoke. I cashed out and the three of us moved on up to the second floor to the back wall were we all liked to play the reel type HHP. Anyway we all played for some four hours and no wins to speak of. We decided to call it a night and took mom home to D'Iberville and us to the IP.
I wanted to video the Beau Rivage Fireworks postponed from the night prior due to storms in the area.
Debbie went to the room and I to the parking deck. Fantastic display with the new lighting upon the facade of the Beau. Off to bed by 10:00pm.
I KNow, but I have to get ready for work. I'll get back to this soon. Coming is our trip to Bourbon Street, Silver Slipper, Hollywood, return to Treasure Bay and the Buffet and much more.
