IP Hotel Reviews

Hi All! I have been a member and reading these reviews for some time now. I am amazed on how some people love the place and other hate it. I will say that I have been comped for the past 10 years so I will admit to be a little bias.

I do understand some of the complaints about smoke but I am a smoker. I do understand about having to paid $150 to $250 a weekend night for a room which is a little bigger than a normal Holiday Inn.

I do not understand the issues with the staff. I have found the IP staff very conscienous and cooperative. I have found their customer service to be the best on the Gulf Coast.

The Spa is A-1 as is their pool. I have found the food to be very good at most times and the upper end "32" is excellent.

Bottomline, the IP is that the kind of hotel to go if you are going to use the casino. Sometimes I think the IP is being confused with the Imperial Palace in Vegas which is now a Harrah's property and I have heard is a dump.

I agree with you completely. The staff is the best, the food is good, rooms are comfortable, comps are good. There is a non smoking section on the second floor. Been to other casinos in the area, where employees are just doing their jobs, not going out of their way for guest satisfaction, or are down right rude. I think some people just can't be pleased.

My experience with IP was good. I have no serious complaints. There was one check-in counter person that was a tad snooty with me last time; but it wasn't enough to talk me out of using IP again. I enjoyed my time there. I'm not going to let one person that's in a frumpy mood when I first walk up ruin my whole experience. Everyone else on the IP staff was more that pleasant and helpful.

Some people have a hard time at just going with the flow and want to complain to the extreme over one little glitch that could be easily overlooked in their overall impression of their experience. Some folks just LOVE to kavetch......=o)

I don't even understand the issue people have with the price. IP is the only casino on the coast in Biloxi (that I know of) that allows you to negotiate a price on Priceline.com. I can generally get a room there for $40-$55......the exact same rooms that everyone else pays full price for....

A little internet savvy can save you hundreds.

I actually really do like the Beau Rivage (I'm not a huge gambler either), but I can't turn down a four star hotel room for $50/night. I don't get comped of course, because I don't gamble, and I still get upgrades sometimes.

We just returned Tuesday night from a 7 night visit= 3 at IP & 4 at the Beau. This was our umpteenth visit to the area. We like both the IP and the Beau. The IP has extremely friendly personnel , All employees go the extra mile to make everyones stay enjoyable. On this trip I saw a suit get off the elevator lead a couple into the lobby and point and explain to them how they could get to their location. Only after did she continue on her way. Likewise the operator was very friendly when I called for reservations. Our stay at the Beau was also very enjoyable. I used the hot tub for the first time. Their pool ares(and that of IP also) are spacious and well laid out. As it was after start of school, there were only a few children at the pool, even on Sunday and even though the temperature was in the 90's. We think the Beau the most beautiful casino in not only the Biloxi area but anywhere

I total agree with you. The best property in this region is the Beau. The best buffet is also the Beau. I haven't eaten at the 32 at the IP but I have heard it could be the best.

I just feel more "at home" at the IP. The staff seem, in my experience, try to make your stay as comfortable as possible and will quickly address any issues I have. I am a "low roller", so it's not like a get limos, free flights etc. I do get free rooms and play enough to get my meals comped but so does most players at the IP.

I do like the new player's club at the Beau. No more asking for free buffets!!
