Golden Nugget

I've read the reviews for the rooms at Golden Nugget. Seems most like them ... a lot.

How about the restaurants? Buffet? We're thinking of staying there in July or August.

The buffet at the Golden Nugget, in my opinion, is excellent. I have also eaten at their Bubba Gumps and Mortons Steakhouse and enjoyed all the meals. The pool is outstanding with swim up bar. Lots of slots on first floor and non smoking slots on second floor. Plenty of table games as well. Check out their site for slot tournaments.

The hotel rooms were beautiful and if you can get a water view, even better. Room service was quick and food great.

Take a walk around the back to see the yachts.

Of all the casino resorts in Biloxi, Golden Nugget is becoming one of my favorites.

I agree with Claudia the Golden Nugget restaurants are very good. Bubba Gump is very popular. For members of the Player's Club the comp offers are pretty generous.

We may visit this hotel in the near future. We are considering attending a concert in the grand ballroom. Anyone done this? What were your thoughts? Any suggestions on seating?

It's great to read all of these praises of the Golden Nugget. We want to give them a try on our next visit to see our son down in Ocean Springs. Couldn't be handier for us as he lives right at the other end of the bridge next to it. That's one reason we enjoy the Palace Casino too. I know we love Golden Nugget's lovely newly remodeled casino floor.....can't wait!

Claudia- you seem quite knowledgeable regarding the Biloxi casinos. We are interested in finding out which casinos have the least expensive table bets for roulette and craps. A $10 minimum is a bit much for our budget. Thank you for your reply.

Yes Claudia I agree, The Golden Nugget is fast becoming my fav destination in Biloxi.

The Buffet is the best I can discern in Biloxi, with crab being cooked properly so they can be cracked and eaten.

Golden Nugget offers $5.00 craps, I saw it on Sept 11, 2014 visit. Not sure about the BJ.

Morton's is always a winner. Although a chain it offers a great consistently yummy fine dining experience.

Bubba Gump I have yet to try but I heard good things. Looked over the menu though and mostly fried, but maybe some blackened fish. I wish I saw some blackened shrimp on that menu.

How are the free play comps on slots at GN? After years of coming about six times a year from California I am finally getting tired of Beau and Hard Rock. Speaking of buffets anyone notice that at the Beau the plates always have a grainy feel to them (poor washing practices) . Seen one time very took away all the plates because of this. THX
