Branson-1st of March

I have friends that are going to Branson the first week of march-they are

staying at Palace View(her moms TS). She has asked me for ideas about what

their family can do while in town for the week...since we have only been to

Branson in the summer I am at a loss

They are 2 adults and 3 children ages 4,6 and 11

I suggested the fish hatchery but aside from that, I really don't know what

is open this time of year...

Do you all have any suggestions, tips or hints that you can lend, things they

might enjoy-they have never been to Branson...

Thanks in advance

It is right before things get kicked off for the year,

But Branson is getting better at not having a off season..

Silver dollar city is out,,,They don't open for the season till mid march..

There is a great museum at the college of the ozarks called , Ralph foster museum.

It is free to those under 17 and only $4.00 for adults,

www.rfostermuseum.com

And there always is the landing with it's shopping and restaurants,

You could do a day trip to springfield to the bass pro shop.

They do have one in the landing, But the one in springfield is alot more fun.

There also is indoor mini golf at the grand country,

And the Imax theater ,

www.bransonimax.com

It will be harder to find things, But we always enjoy the slower pace in march,

We were there on easter sunday one time,

It was dead,,,,No traffic, Not many people...It was strange to see....

If I were you I would check ReserveBranson.com for an up-to-date schedule on what will be open at that time. They have info on shows, attractions and other activities.

Hope that helps.

I believe the Dixie Stampede is open year round and that would definitely hold the interest of the kids!

A little pricey, but when you consider that you are getting dinner + a show, it's not bad.

I thought I remembered your name...

I am the one who sent you to willow beach motel in hot springs..

There is a small restaurant called Chesters, It is with the hillbilly Inn On 76,

It has great prices and food that will make your day,,

The breakfast is huge ,and they have a stuffed burger that is amazing.

http://hillbillyinn.com

Look at the restaurant link..

Not much to look at, but killer food,,,,,
