Any Hotel In The Middle of Everything?

Does Branson have a "downtown" where all the theatres, shopping, nightlife, restaurants are concentrated? If so, is there a hotel or bed and breakfast that's within walking distance of this? The hotel just gotta be walkable from it all, it doesn't have to smack right in the middle.

My husband would like to be able to drink on his vacation and he has a rule about not driving after drinking, not even a drop of beer.

There are things downtown/Branson Landing -- shopping, dining, motels, 1 or 2 theaters. Most of theaters are on 76 (the strip). Other theaters are on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway. There are restaurants, shopping, and lodging on 76 and on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway. Your best bet would be to find something on 76 such as the Clarion Palace.

What about Branson Yellow Rose Inn and Suites? Is that walkable from the Strip?

No, Yellow Rose is out quite a ways from 76. Definitely not walkable.

Branson is not Vegas, it's a very Christian town. I am 45 and was there for a week in October this year and saw maybe 2 people with beer or wine and that was only at dinner. If you like to drink and enjoy a "village" atmosphere, you may want to rethink your destination. I would highly recommend, Eureeka Spings, just a few miles south in AK. They have tons of B&B's, restaurants, bars, shops and shows all within a 1-2 mile area. It's a great town that reminds me of a European village. Branson is best enjoyed when driving a car because the good shows are Jacob, Kirby VanBurch, Acrobats of China & the Titanic and they require driving to in the suburbs.
