Latest on ATMs in Sayulita?

Hi:

I am wondering if anyone has been to Sayulita recently and has an update on the ATM situation? Last I heard, there were 5 very unreliable ATM machines. Has the situation improved at all?

Thanks.

The machines are actually quite reliable, on a busy weekend they may run out of funds until the following Monday, just like machines in other locales, but with a little planning you won't have any problem. I suggest you make your first withdrawal at the ATM in the airport or at one of the many banks outside of the Mega supermarket on your way to Sayulita, then you can use the ATM's in Sayulita to keep your pockets full;)

Just returned from Sayulita and PVR. The ATM that was by Choco Banana has been removed. Was told that it was broken into a couple times in a short period. Across from where the cabs park, there are two ATM's, US dollars and pesos. I used the one to get pesos - worked fine.

The ATM outside ChocoBanana was replaced and has a much lower transaction charge than the privately owned machines.
